SLACK CIRCUIT
installation | 2013 | with studio_01
Numerous hanging steel wires create and divide ethereal space with Slack Circuit. These wires are fixed along a diagonal path, passed through a guide, and then connected to a moveable control chain. Raising or lowering these chains manipulate the shape of the hanging wires to form individual areas or ‘rooms’ within the space. The thin, kinetic environment moves both actively through human interaction and passively by the wind. Its light, airiness blurs the separation of space as the wires physically divide, yet still allow for visual connection through the entire space.
